Dr Rona Hart

Hi

Thank you for visiting my website.

You may want to know a little bit about me, so here goes!

I trained and worked as an academic researcher for nearly 25 years now, and I have a BA (1st honours), MA (1st honours), and a PhD which I completed in 2004 at King's College London. All my training and research work included a combination of social sciences: Sociology, Psychology and Education.

As my career developed I was drawn to counseling, and I began to combine research and counseling, particularly in the public services domain and in the business arena, and so in between my MA and PhD I also trained as a counselor.

Since then, I have been very fortunate to be able to combine my two professions: I use my skills and experience as a researcher to ask thought-provoking questions, to collect information, analyse it carefully, draw conclusions, and assess outcomes, and I use my counseling skills to support my students and clients, and mostly to empower, motivate and inspire them.

Positive psychology is my real passion, and in addition to my formal training, over the years I read countless books, and have taken numerous courses, including Landmark Education, The Coaching Academy, NLP Excellence, Tony Robbins, Christopher Howard and Paul McKenna to name a few.

I was a Director of a Research Department for one of the top research organisations until recently, however, after completing my PhD on immigration and change management, I decided to apply the knowledge that I have acquired through my studies, to help others through training, mentoring and coaching. I developed several training courses and techniques, all of which are based on Positive Psychology, that are designed to facilitate not only immigration / relocation processes but also any life transition and desired transformation.  Therefore, my ''niche'' as a trainer is: change management.

I feel very privileged to be able to practice two professions that I am passionate about and do what I love.

I am grateful to my research participants, my students and clients,  for allowing me to participate in their journeys of transformation, and I am immensely honoured by their trust in me, and the permission they grant me to contribute and make a difference in their lives.

Wishing you and yours a fantastic week!
